Alana Riley is a photo/video-based artist living in Montreal, Canada. She holds a BFA from Concordia University in Studio Arts and Photography (2003). Riley takes a more conceptual approach to image creation and "like[s] to see the small details and traces of their everyday." Her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in Canada, Asia, Ireland, and the United States. In 2010, Riley was a finalist of the Emerging Photographers of Canada, awarded by the Magenta Foundation, as well as being awarded the Prix Pierre-Ayot, by the City of Montreal and the Association des galeries d'art contemporain (AGAC). Her works are a part of public and private collections in Canada and the United States. Her work is represented by the Joyce Yahouda Gallery.
