Since 2003 Melanie Rocan's work has been included in many exhibitions across Canada including a painting survey exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, in Toronto, a Canadian Painting group show at Simon Blais Gallery in Montreal, a group exhibition at the Leonard & Bina Ellen gallery in Montreal, Supernovas at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, Young Winnipeg Artists at the Plug-In contemporary art gallery in Winnipeg, as well as a RBC painting competition exhibition which traveled to galleries across Canada including the Power Plant in Toronto, the Contemporary Museum in Montreal and the Contemporary Art Gallery of Vancouver. Her work has been reviewed in Bordercrossings magazine, FASHION magazine and the Globe and Mail. She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants from the Canada Council, Manitoba and Winnipeg Arts Council.
