Erin Thurlow received his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and MFA from Rutgers University and has exhibited his work throughout North America. Since 2007 he has been active in the Toronto art scene, showing his own art and organizing exhibitions with other artists. Thurlow draws on the recognizable and the accidental, creatively exploring through comic techniques such as repetition, false analogy, punning and slapstick. In 2010 his accomplishments included attending the Atlantic Center for the Arts Residency #36, a solo exhibition at Mercer Union and receiving grants from the Ontario and Toronto Arts Councils.
