Flavio Trevisan is a visual artist and designer based in Toronto who has been exhibiting his work since 1999. His wall-mounted map works are created via painstaking precision cut millboard and then filled with a fluid acrylic paint. Trevisan sees the process of translating maps into sculpture as a way of appreciating the internal logic and progressive accumulation of our urban and suburban environment. He is a founder and co-director of the Convenience Gallery in Toronto where he curated the Parkdale International Art fair in 2008.
