Jaclyn Quaresma is a Toronto-based visual artist, who works in sculpture, print media and site-specific installation while investigating themes of personal narratives and interactions. "For Friends and the Like" draws from an investigation of the vehemence of heartache and a strong sense of the need to trust, themes embodied within the object. During her studies at University of Toronto and Sheridan College, Quaresma established 47 (www.forty-seven.ca). As former Principal and Director, Quaresma has worked with a variety of Canadian artists whose work engaged specifically with the space. She has exhibited at Justina M. Barnicke, Blackwood Gallery, 47, Lennox Contemporary, among others.
